Christopher Hoimes, D.O., Ph.D.

He is currently a Paul Calebresi, MD scholar of the Case Western Reserve University CTSA. He is part of the GU malignancy clinical and research programs and a member of the Phase I oncology team. In addition to cancer immunotherapy, Dr. Hoimes is leading the genomics procurement and actionable treatment paradigms for hematologic and solid tumor malignancies at Seidman Cancer Center. His research is also focused on developing nanodelivery platforms for various cancer drugs. Dr. Hoimes completed the Investigative Medicine Program at Yale University, a unique MD to MD-PhD training program that provides rigorous scientific training in laboratory and clinical investigation, where he focused on developing novel immunomodulating compounds using a synthetic chemistry approach, and biomaterials for urothelial cancer detection and therapy in Professor Mark Saltzman’s laboratory.
